Food Theatre 2024
MOUTH-WATERING LINE UP FOR THIS YEAR’S FESTIVAL
The Food Theatre at this year’s Lancashire Game and Country Festival will feature a top line up of local chefs, showing visitors innovative and exciting ways to prepare and serve game, wild and local foods.
TV’s Nigel Haworth, chef-patron of the Three Fishes, veteran of Great British Menu and long-time champion of Lancashire produce will be demonstrating game recipes this year, as will Doug Crampton of the UK’s premier ‘off-grid’ restaurant - 8 at Gazegill. Michael Vanheste, who is rapidly building a name for his new venture, Greendale View, has promised to de-mystify cooking with rabbit.
Peter Gott from Sillfield Farm Foods will be the Theatre’s entertaining compere and begins the daily programmes with some of his Cumberland sausage-making secrets, while Denise Heys ‘The Gardening Lady’ shares her expert knowledge of foraging and pickling wild foods. Game butchery experts from Honeywells will be demonstrating on both days and, Tim Proctor will be matching his Kick Ass Cheeses with beers from Bowland Brewery.
